Today we’d like to introduce you to Gaby Pineda.
Gaby, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all started two years ago. I bought my first cámara I thought everything was going to be easy that I would easily get clients, but reality hit, soon enough, I realized that it wasn’t going to be as easy as I thought. After I saw that I wasn’t getting clients, I thought about ways to gain clients and used my friend google as a resource. Every course that I found that I thought would help me I would listen to it and follow every step. I also started the magic word “yes”, I said yes to every project that involved taking pictures. I also changed my mindset and started to motivate myself by setting short term goals that were reachable. I also decided to get out of my comfort zone and I started to get involved in networking events. Thanks to all of those steps that I took my business started to grow. I’m blessed to say that all my hard work is finally paying off.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The biggest struggle for me was to have self-confidence and to leave behind my shyness. Like I said before I had to get out of my comfort zone and go to networking events, in those events you meet and talk to people something that I feared, but I knew if I didn’t get out of my comfort zone, my business wasn’t going to grow.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am a photographer I specialize in wedding and senior pictures. I like the fact that I’m privileged to be a part and capture people’s most important days of their lives. Being able to capture people’s emotions and freeze then in the way that they can see a picture and evocative their emotions. What I think what sets me apart from everyone else is that I’m a warm and accommodating person.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I always liked doing arts and crafts. I also liked exploring new places and to hang out with my friends. I was also an outdoors person I loved exploring nature. I really enjoyed dancing I used to try to go out every weekend. I have also been a very responsible person ever since I was little. Surprisingly, every afternoon that I would get home from school, I would always do my homework before doing anything else without anyone having to ask me. I loved those times since they remind me of the days when I was in Guatemala.
