Today we’d like to introduce you to LaPortia Robinson.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in the West Dallas projects. Majority of my life we struggled to make ends meet. I remember seeing my mother work two jobs at a time, to take care of four children. I remember saying to myself, “I do not want to live my life like this.’ As I grew older, I graduated high school and became pregnant my senior year. I remember thinking that my whole future was ruined. I basically had to grow up quick. Being a young mother was not easy, nor raising a child alone. There were many times I went without and I was even homeless at one time.
Thankfully, we pushed through with the help of great people and I got a good paying job that allowed me to take care of my daughter. While working, I began to take online classes to pursue my real estate license. In no time, I was a licensed agent. After that, I kept pushing to further my education. I was working full time at a law firm, part-time as a real estate agent and full-time college student pursuing my degree. I do not know how I got through those years. I completed my degree plan in August of 2018 and ventured off into running my own business as a Realtor. I take pride in the fact that I never gave up. Although the road was hard and tough, I stuck with it and now I am a proud successful business owner. I have been practicing real estate for four years and I have helped many families acquire home ownership. I have also helped individuals sell their homes, assisted with rentals and performed apartment locating to help families. I love what I do and I’m so thankful that the Lord saw me through.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. I have battled many let downs and disappointment from family, clients, and people. Not to mention, maintaining a real estate license is expensive. I have had people doubt that I would make it but with the glory of the Lord, I’m still in it!

As a licensed professional for the state of Texas, I strive to help families accomplish their real estate goals. I’m a one-stop shop. I pride myself on helping families purchase homes, whether it be new construction or pre-existing home. In addition, I help homeowners who may be looking to sell their home, get top dollar for their real estate investment. I pride ourselves on excellent customer services and work hard for each and every client. I work miracles out of bad situations and turn them around.
