Ruby Jeanine Batiste is a Texas native, who is a wife and mother. She has over twenty years of experience as a professional public school educator. She has now taken her same passion and commitment for educating and empowering children to start her signature natural skin care line. Her passion for natural skin care was divinely inspired after a series of life-changing events and when she searched for all natural skin care products to help with her sensitive and dry skin. Her search led her to start making her own products with FDA approved all natural ingredients. As she shared her products with friends and family, the request for more started increasing.

Custom Blends by Nine (“Now Inviting New Energy”) Bath and Body Products were custom designed to meet the unique skin care needs of my family and myself. Before I started making and blending my own products, I frequented several retailers that I considered to be affordable, for the quality of the products I was looking for. I stumbled across a few great products, but none met the unique combinations I desired. I have very sensitive, dry, and eczema prone skin, but I still enjoy fragrances. The challenge for me was to find premium quality products that softened and moisturized my skin while providing fragrances. Has it been a smooth road?
Having a primary web-based marketplace is challenging, however, the journey has been exciting. I truly love the benefits of quality plant-based skin products and sharing my gift with others. My best experiences happen when I am able to meet my customer base at functions/events I vend at in the DFW area. There are so many great people in the Metroplex who are looking for healthy alternatives for their personal care and relaxation needs.

As a child, I remember my mother and father cooking and creating the best meals, homemade remedies, and toys from our natural environment. My mother and father would customize each item or selections from a meal to ensure that our individual preferences were acknowledged. It is with this same concept that I bring Custom Blends by Nine Bath and Body Products to you. One size fits all bath and body products don’t meet your unique skin care needs. I take the time to research the best natural products for skin care to meet a variety of skin care needs. Each order is prepared with you in mind, using the same care and love my mother and father used when preparing homemade remedies for me and my siblings. When I look at my hands, I am reminded of my mother because my hands truly resemble hers. I hope our products, blended with my hands, bring new energy and comfort into your lives.
Our products contain the finest skin safe cosmetic and food grade FDA approved oils such as grape seed oil, apricot oil, avocado oil, olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, and sunflower oil. We also use FDA approved and certified organic raw butters like African Shea Butter, Coco Butter, Mango Butter, and Cupuacu butter in our products.
Our products are available in their natural scents, but we offer a variety of skin safe cosmetic grade scented oils, fragrances, and essential oils to give you your unique experience. Our Aromatherapy Collection contains essential oils. Essential oils are commonly used for therapeutic benefits and to relieve several common respiratory conditions, joint pain, muscle aches, and skin conditions like Eczema.
I find it very fulfilling when our customers share how our products have improved the quality of their life. One of the things that make us different than others is, I work really hard to customize the experiences of my customers. I believe the price points should be affordable in addition to providing high-quality products and great customer service.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The skin care industry will continue to thrive over the next decade. The demand for natural personal care and relaxation products will continue to appeal to consumers interested in high quality personal care products. I plan to open a stand-alone storefront to provide desirable and effective bath, pampering, and personal care products in the near future.
