Andrew Finch on Building Elite Athletes Through Fundamentals, Mindset, and Global Experience

Andrew Finch is redefining basketball development by blending elite-level training with a deep focus on fundamentals, mindset, and global exposure. Through his TITANS platform, he emphasizes discipline, attention to detail, and a process-driven approach rooted in continuous learning. From hosting camps across Australia to launching cultural immersive tours, Andrew is helping young athletes expand their perspective beyond the court — building not just skilled players, but well-rounded individuals prepared to grow, lead, and create their own path in life.

Andrew, you’re hosting basketball camps across Australia. What makes your approach to training and development different from traditional programs?
My approach to training and development is simple and detailed focused based on teaching fundamental body movements of all parts of the body with and without the basketball. I help athletes to understand technique, angles, lines, spacing, and spots on the floor. It’s elite training made fundamental.

You’re also planning a 2027 cultural immersive tour. How does combining basketball with education and cultural experience impact young athletes?
Thank you for asking this question about the cultural immersive tour. When you combine education and cultural experience in a game that is fluently spoken around the world, you breed community, understanding, and bonds begin to form creating communities of people who learn, grow, and teach each other ways of being in life. Basketball isn’t played the same everywhere, just as life isn’t lived the same everywhere, so the exposure opens these young athletes up to endless possibilities.

With multiple new courses and peak performance resources launching, what core principles define your philosophy on becoming an elite performer?
The core principles that define my philosophy on becoming an elite performer are focus; being attention to detail, discipline in the small things, process-driven and not results-driven, emotional detachment to results, and always approach learning with Mushin (Beginner’s Mind).

You’re expanding your team with interns and trainers. What qualities do you look for in people who represent your brand and mission?
I appreciate the question about my brand. TITANS stands for Taking Initiative Thriving to Achieve New Success. I’m looking for servant leaders with a FIRE for the area they’re applying for. They must be detail-oriented, disciplined, focused, obsessed with the process of planning, building, & creating. I look for resolution-oriented people as opposed to problem-focused people.

As you continue building global partnerships and scaling your platform, what long-term vision are you working toward for your brand and its impact?
That to me is a legacy question. Long-term vision for TITANS is that we’re recognized as the Number 1 company in Peak Performance Training Physically and Mentally On & Off the court, helping all the TITANS out there to Create Their Own Universe.
