Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Bell.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Ten years ago, I decided to start a career in makeup, I love being able to create and display my artistry in others as much as I love empowering women through beauty.
I started my makeup studio business 5 years ago and also decided to start my own beauty brand in which mink lashes are my main focus at the moment.
After freelancing and growing my clientele I decided that having my own space was the best thing in order to offer amazing service and provide with other services like hair styling, makeup classes, and microblading.
I also started working on Tv on a morning show doing makeup and hair on 6 hosts from Monday -Friday 3-6am.
Yes! Very early but I love it!
This has opened a lot of doors for me in the tv industry and I feel very blessed and lucky to had found this gig and also to be able to work with a lot of celebrities! 🙂
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t necessarily been a smooth road but I can tell you that every situation that I have Been through has been an amazing learning experience.
Being a mom, business owner, wife and entrepreneur are not easy but I feel very happy to have the support to continue my dream.
I hardly ever sleep over 4 hours, I work Monday-Sunday but I know you have to sacrifice in order to see results and achieve success, so my piece of advice is “don’t sleep” work hard now and rest later. Life goes by really fast and while you are young you have to give it 100 percent! It’s definitely important to balance everything out and definitely, rest, have fun but work, work, work! 🙂 There is no other way (unless you win the lottery).
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Daniela Bell Makeup Studio story. Tell us more about the business.
I’m mostly known as a makeup artist, people come to me for that and microblading more than anything, these are my two specialties.
My lash brand has begun to expand a lot and I’m definitely very proud of that! I even got to pitch my lashes to HSN just last week and they gave my product 5 stars, so I’m very proud of this moment and can’t wait to share more with you guys about it in a near future.
My technique and work ethic has helped me to empower other women to come and learn from me, people appreciate my work and my customer service. Most of my clients become my friends, this definitely sets my business apart!
Do you have a lesson or advice you’d like to share with young women just starting out?
Believe in yourself, speak your wishes into existence, this has really worked for me.
Surround yourself with people that love and cheer you, that believe in you! If you want to succeed this is definitely the most important part, you are who you are around with.
