Maria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a Dallas Lifestyle Blogger and Freelance Business Strategist Advisor.
I am the curator of a family-friendly Blog called Lifestyle Buzz by Maria where you will find the latest info on where to dine, where to shop, things to do, sales happenings or a new product or service that will change your life.
I am a full-time Blogger, however, this was not always the case for me. Prior to Blogging, I owned a Beauty on Demand Company called Beauty Door Pro. Owning and managing my own company gave me tools that I now apply to Blogging. Little did I know that God was preparing me for something extraordinary and exciting through Beauty Door Pro. You see, sometimes we work so hard for something we really want to see Bloom but then God has other plans for us. Always Trust God and the plan he has set for you!
I can say that I still own Beauty Door Pro but it’s all outsourced while I focus on where my passion is, servicing others. I love that through my blog, I can help so many women and friends that may have been looking for the exact same product or service I am shining light on. Or maybe, help another women out by sharing an inspirational message or a piece of advice. I am blessed to do what I love and make a living out of it.
Has it been a smooth road?
The Blogging world has so many obstacles and challenges. I thank my past employment history and Entrepreneurship experience for the knowledge I gained from it. It has shaped me to the person I am today. I have been working since the young age of 15, so I know a thing or two on how to handle a couple of obstacles or challenges.
It makes a difference when you shift your mindset from Entrepreneur to Business Woman!
Anyone can be an Entrepreneur but only a few can be a successful Business Person!

As a lifestyle Blogger, you always have to be in the know. Being prepared for what’s to come is always beneficial.
I am a Lifestyle Blogger that is seen as a key authority in Dallas and a resource partner for many entities. People visit the blog when searching on places to dine, what’s new, and what’s coming, Lifestyle Buzz by Maria is for you!
I also help PR Firms with their Influencer Marketing Programs.
What do you feel are the biggest barriers today to female leadership, in your industry or generally?
You know, there are so many barriers and misconnects about Bloggers. Some people feel this industry is about vanity and only taking photos. Which photo-taking plays a big role, however, as long as you create a story around the photo, you are already setting yourself apart. Being a creative storyteller is key in this industry.
Once you learn that it is not about you but about the brand you are creating content for, and how you can service others, then you have Won!
