Today we’d like to introduce you to Laurie Davis.
Laurie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I, along with my cohost, began our podcast in December 2019. We began by always being each other’s supports system after realizing we both suffer from anxiety. We just began having very therapeutic vent sessions. Discussing our triggers, fears and therapy sessions. We both realized how we had no clue what anxiety was because it isn’t discussed enough in our families and we wanted to change that.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not! We have faced challenges in figuring out how to begin our podcast. The direction we wanted to go in. The fear we have of public speaking. Our likes and dislikes and not always seeing eye to eye. We discovered quickly that our podcast about Anxiety also gives us Anxiety. Lol!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work in the auto finance industry for the last 6 1/2 years and I love it. I love connecting with not only my dealers that I service but my team. My main job is very laid back and due to the pandemic, I am currently still working from home. My cohost Kita is an entrepreneur and owns a food truck, ZZ’s ice cream puffs. ZZ’s is a fried donut stuffed with your favorite cold ice cream and toppings of your choice. ZZ’s travels all over the DFW area serving this yummy treat.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Family! This year we, along with most, are just thankful for our healthy families. We are both moms and the gift of watching your children grow is truly priceless. 2020 has thrown us all a major curveball. Things that were once important now aren’t as much. Being healthy and having those that matter most is where our happiness is.
