Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassandra Ore Pravanh.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Cassandra Ore. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
Growing up I was always into fashion and staying on trend. I was that person that would look at an article of clothing and automatically start piecing an outfit together in my mind. It was like second nature for me. I have followed Fashion and Lifestyle bloggers for quite a while now and have always dreamed of having my own personal blog. My friends and family members were always insisting that I start one, but it wasn’t till this past year that I decided on it. I can’t exactly tell you what encouraged me to finally commit to starting my Fashion and Lifestyle blog other than the fact that it was a late night full of researching that ended with me deciding it was time to make my dreams into reality.
Has it been a smooth road?
Personally, I think things have been moving along smoothly. Blogging is definitely one of those learn as you go experiences for sure, but no major roadblocks. Being new to the blogger community can be a bit overwhelming, but everyone is very sweet and welcoming. It is an industry that has become very saturated, so of course, it is going to take time to grow your brand. I think I did the right amount of research before starting my blog that it really helped me mentally prepare myself for this adventure. You must have patience in the influencer industry. I will say it again it takes time to put yourself out there and get acknowledged. Stay positive. Have patience. Be true to yourself. Don’t give up. I know it is easier said than done, but if you remind yourself of those four things daily, I promise you will be great.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with your blog – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Well for starters, I am a new blogger to the Fort Worth area specializing in mixing high-end items with budget-friendly styles. I love my designer shoes and purses, but when it comes to actual clothing items, I’m your go-to girl if you are trying to look cute on a budget. I only graduated a year ago, and I am barely starting my career, so splurging isn’t always an option. Though I grew up around high-end items, throughout the years, I’ve learned it’s not all about the price tag. You can look just as cute and fashionable in an outfit from Target. You may see me carrying an expensive handbag, but the outfit I’m wearing is probably less than $50. My blog is a place for me to share with others my styling tips and tricks!
Do you think there are structural or other barriers impeding the emergence of more female leaders?
One thing I feared when thinking about starting my blog was the negativity that comes with putting yourself out on social media. Overall, the Influencer Industry is very kind and full of encouraging women, but I would be lying if I said its always rainbows and sunshine in this industry. It’s not often, but every now and then I do see some pretty negative comments from other women towards another fellow female. With that being said, I think the biggest challenge females face in leadership is garnishing support from other women. We need to do a better job at empowering and supporting each other, rather than trying to one-up one another.
