Floral is a passion. At a young age, I began working at a local flower shop just helping out, but soon showed a skill for floral design. After studying nursing in college, I realized my love for floral and opened my own shop, Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe, at the age of 23. Never one to be told that I could not do something, I am always striving to learn new techniques, growth through networking and defying the odds.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Follow your dreams. Nothing comes easy but everything is worth it in the end. As an individual and as a team Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe is constantly learning something new everyday and continuously growing our education in the floral and wedding industry.

Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe promotes growth within a community of happy and passion fueled employees, making weddings and events stylish and creative while enthusiastically educating our clients along the way. Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe has southern tradition and modern design. We share our passion of floral design through community events and high-quality customer service. We offer floral service to all fields: Wedding, Corporate, Personal Event’s and Daily Deliveries.
Often it feels as if the media, by and large, is only focused on the obstacles faced by women, but we feel it’s important to also look for the opportunities. In your view, are there opportunities that you see that women are particularly well positioned for?
Women are strongly thriving in the wedding and event industry. It’s been amazing building relationships which has created many opportunities in industry.
