Meet Ashley Gentry of RedBranch Realty in Central

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Gentry.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Real Estate is all I’ve ever known. My mother became a highly successful agent during my teenage years. I watched her create not only a thriving business, but change lives at the same time. She encouraged me, no begged me, to choose a different career; one with benefits and less risk. Had I not witnessed her create such an impact over those years I might have heeded her advice, but it was too late, real estate was the only option for me. Over the past 13 years, I’ve individually produced as well as managed teams and smaller brokerages. During the peak of the resurgence of the real estate market, my mother, Cheri, called and said it was time we made this a true family affair by finally opening up our own firm. She was managing two larger offices for a global brand while I was selling and managing a local boutique brokerage. This call happened 24hrs after I had prayed for God to bring me a real estate partner, one I could trust not only with my business but one that shared the same core value system as well. I had been married just under 2 years at that time, and my husband and I were trying to start a family, but remained unsuccessful. The hours I was putting in were intensive, even if we had gotten pregnant I still couldn’t envision what that would look like personally and professionally. Within 6 weeks of that prayer not only had I been given the best partner in the business, I found out I was expecting my beautiful daughter Alex as well. Eight months pregnant, Cheri and I successfully opened RedBranch Realty. It’s been an amazing journey these past 4 years, and what is on the horizon for our firm/real estate family is truly a gift. We started 2017 with 6 agents, and our goal for the year was to add 5 more, but not just any 5, but ones that shared the same desire and passion for their business as we did. We should close out this year with 15, nearly double our original goal; more importantly, with like-minded individuals striving to change the industry standard one client at time. As the old saying goes… “Birds of a Feather”!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Life would be boring if it were smooth, I’ve experienced immense growth the past few years both personally and professionally. Becoming a mom is my greatest accomplishment, but it’s also the hardest because it effects your whole personhood as a woman, wife, and now parent. In this same regard I feel like owning a company presents similar challenges. Selling came naturally to me, but now it’s my job to equip other people to do the same, providing them with the resources, encouragement, and direction to exceed not only the expectation of their clients but themselves as well. We didn’t open RedBranch to blend in, we wanted something bigger for the public, to know that they always had the most educated agents representing them and a personal advocate at all times. I tell every agent that dawns our door that we aren’t in the real estate business, but the people serving business, we just happen to do that through real estate. I have had to sacrifice time and money to do this, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. But if people tell you running a business is glamorous, they’re wrong! Just like being a parent though, it’s been the most rewarding thing I have ever done professionally.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about RedBranch Realty – what should we know?
RedBranch is a full service real estate firm. We specialize in people, always coming from a place of value, selflessly guiding, and consistently exceeding our clients’ expectations. That probably isn’t the most traditional answer, but it’s us to the core. If an agent doesn’t embody this, they don’t join our firm. If you look at our marketing you will see a white bird showcased throughout. We use the bird as an identifier for who we are. I quoted “Birds of a Feather” earlier because that is The RedBranch Mantra. That’s what I’m most proud of, that the people that join our real estate family are here for the same reasons. I am a better person because of them and the real estate community is as well.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
It’s no secret my mother played a significant part in who I am and where I am today. She took leading by example to heart, and I pray that one day the same will be said about me. As the wise Zig Ziglar would say, “Success isn’t just about what you accomplish in life, it’s about what you inspire and help others to do.” I also know I wouldn’t be in this position today if I didn’t have the full support of my husband. He changed directions in his life recently to become a stay-at-home dad. I leave the house every day knowing that my daughter is in the most capable hands and that allows me to be mentally and physically present to the fullest. There are so many others that have and continue to support, inspire, and encourage me on a daily basis, but we’d be here for hours if I named them all. Truthfully though, the largest impact that has been made on me is the struggles I have encountered. The missed opportunities, the nay-sayers, personal defeats and trials, that’s what’s made me resilient and oh so very grateful for all that has been given to me. I do not take my successes or failures for granted, as they significantly shape me daily.

Ashley and her team are fantastic. She sold our primary residence in one weekend for over asking price and sold an investment property without it even being listed. I’d never even consider another realtor other than Ashley. This is a fantastic group of people.

This is the 2nd time we’ve purchased a home with the help of RedBranch Realty and having the distinct pleasure of having the DYNAMIC Ashley Gentry serve as our realtor. I’m a stickler for good customer service because it is such a lost art form today. So, when I get EXCELLENT customer service, you guys get stuck reading a long review! Lol! I wish I could give a succint “blurb”, but Ashley’s service requires a great deal more than that. From the moment we told her that we found a home we’d like to make an offer for to getting us across the finish line for closing, Ashley’s expertise was nothing short of “masterful”. Our home purchase was not the “typical” find a home, make an offer, get it accepted, go to closing, move in, live “happily ever after” scenario. There were SO many “hurdles” to overcome during the process because after the offer was made and accepted, a non-typical “occurrence” took place that we’d never experienced before, and that’s where Ashley PROVED time and again, she is in her element as she wore the hat of “realtor”. When we put our house on the market, we were sure it was going to sell in a couple weeks, at the worst, since the homes in our neighborhood usually get a contract in that time frame. So, imagine our surprise when we didn’t get a buyer for THREE months! (NOTE: By NO fault of Ashley; our home had a very “unique” floor plan, so just had to get it font of the RIGHT buyer, and she did. :o)) Any other time, I would’ve been frantic or thinking, “It’s not meant to be…”, but Ashley’s “Get’er done” attitude truly was the catalyst that got us over the “hump”. She pulled some tricks out of her “hat” that every time movement slowed, she got it kicked back into overdrive! Our confidence in Ashley’s ability to deliver the outcome we’d set out to achieve was the ONLY thing that kept us from pulling our hair out – or pulling out of the deal altogether. EVERY aspect of dealing with her during the duration of our transaction was top-notch. Her communication was keen not only with us (the group texts between her, my husband and I was our “lifeline”, for sure. Her GIF usage was HILARIOUS and an added bonus!) but it was just as remarkable with the agents of potential buyers and everyone in-between. She was 100% professional and poised, and her knowledge of the industry helped us tremendously. I really could go on and on about her because she really is that freakin’ AWESOME, but just know, there’s NO WAY I’d buy or sell a home ever again without her! My husband nicknamed her “Roy” – which stands for “Realtor of the Year”. Lol! And, it’s SO befitting. “Roy” exceeded our expectations in every way imaginable. If you’re looking for a realtor, call Ashley Gentry! Like…just do yourself a favor and go with Ashley, okay? Because in all honesty, I don’t know how we would’ve made it through that process without her because she literally did her job AND everyone else’s. I remember thinking, “How do other people with crappy realtors make it through something like this with their sanity intact?”; and I just remember being SO thankful she was on OUR team! #SheRocks RedBranch Realty offers a team of dedicated individuals who work not only for you, but with you, to the point to where you get to the end of it and you feel like your family got extended. We owe them SO much. Today, we are living in our DREAM HOME, and we KNOW we wouldn’t have gotten to this point without our DREAM TEAM! Ashley Gentry, you’re the BEST, Sweetheart! Thank you for EVERYTHING, “Roy”!
