Meet Avery Sadler of Mind Bending Visuals in Dallas-Austin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Avery Sadler.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I began my photography journey at sixteen years old. When I was younger, I used to always film my older brother skateboarding. Through the many skate sessions at local parks, I became familiar with motion and angles. I also had a knack for thinking of wild ideas and manifesting them into reality – whether through art, poetry or a photo taken from an old iPhone.

A strong feeling in my soul led me to shooting portraits and I have simply never looked back. I have so much gratitude for photography. This art realm is a place to freely express and expand my visions and the little thoughts that sit in my head.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I would like to say its been a smooth road, but I am still very new to this world of fashion photography and portraits. However, I do not like to limit myself to a particular style. There will always be challenges whether something little as lightning or struggling to find people open to my weird and sometimes stranger creative outlook. But for the most part, I’ve been lucky.

Please tell us about Mind Bending Visuals.
I am totally freelance. I would say the best feeling and accomplishment is just taking photos. Everyday, even if I don’t adore how I took a photo, I still capture and make it apparent to try new techniques. I would say my constant flow of ideas. The ideas come to me in dreams and visions as I walk down streets and pass windows.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Good luck is prevalent in my business. Simply, just meeting new creatives and working with individuals so different from the next. Truly a beautiful experience.
