Today we’d like to introduce you to Brookes Ebetsch.
Brookes, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We were founded as a single, Hot Yoga studio in Uptown back in 2002. We are Texas, born and raised!
Over time we added locations at Preston Forest and in Plano, eventually growing across the metroplex. In 2012, we added Pilates. 2013, we added some mat-based fitness classes. Barre was debuted in 2014 and in 2015, we added High-Intensity Interval Training. Today we also offer to coaching to our members.
Our highly trained teachers, strategically sequenced classes and the dedication of our students has brought us to where we are today. We are so proud to have been voted “Best In Dallas” every year since 2013.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The fitness industry is a competitive space and continues to increase in pressure. No success is easily won. We are constantly reading our student surveys for ways to improve, engaging the newest research and building relationships with others to provide the very best service.
We know that value is important to our members which is why we offer 4 class styles – Yoga, Pilates, Barre, and Fitness – at every location all accessible with one membership and no extra fees.
We do our best to keep our classes fresh so that you can stay engaged in your fitness practice and get the best use of your time in the studio.
SunstoneFIT – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We understand the habits you need for a fit lifestyle and have worked to create an environment where you can connect with and cultivate your very best self.
At Sunstone, you never have to register for classes in advance. We provide mat and towel service for all members and all of our studios have showers. We want to make it easy for you to say ‘yes’ to class – to remove barriers like “I forgot to sign up.” “my mat is at home.” or “I’d have to go right to work afterward.” All you have to do is show up. Getting here is the hard part – we take care of everything else.
We believe that when you take care of your fitness, other things in your life begin to take care of themselves.
We offer four class types – Yoga, Pilates, Barre, and Fitness – so you can choose what’s right for you. Some people come in only wanting yoga, but get intrigued, take a Pilates class and LOVE it! Others think that HIIT is all they’ll ever need, but end up feeling tight and get encouraged to balance out their routine with some Hot Yoga.
We want to be your “forever” fitness home. We’re built to let your practice ebb and flow over time, across class types and studio locations. Part of that vision involves coaching – a way for students to get paired with a professional, to craft a personalized fitness plan based on their goals and to be a support system for life. It’s the best way we know to maximize your in-class experience and get you the long-term success you want.
We’re here for you: over 800 classes a week, 364 days a year, in 14 studios and the glue that holds us all together is our community built of amazing, committed team members and students.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
We define our success by our students’ success. Teachers are not teachers without students.
