Today we’d like to introduce you to Bruce and Cindy Warner.
Bruce and Cindy met April 1990 when Bruce was the producer and director of photography of a travel show for a nationwide cable network and Cindy was the PR Director for the Baton Rouge Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. Their working chemistry was immediate and after several production days working together they decided to go into business together and officially formed WPI Productions in November 1990. They continued to produce the travel show for another 3.5 years and then continued in the broadcast world covering national and international film festivals for Bravo and IFC, including the Cannes Film Festival from 1998-2001. Some other broadcast clients included the Discovery Channel, the Oprah Winfrey Show, ESPN, and Speed Channel, to name a few. In the meantime they began to develop and concentrate on their corporate clients which were keeping them very busy such as VHA, Bell Helicopter, Dallas Country Community College District, The People’s Network, and their favorite and longest standing client of 18 years, AdvoCare, which is still a valued client today.
Has it been a smooth road?
Haha, no it has not always been a smooth road but the bumps and challenges we’ve had along the way have made us better business people! Struggles included unrealistic deadlines, marketing contacts that did not properly understand the project that their boss wanted, invoices not being paid or being paid 90-120 after the job was completed…….There were lots of struggles but we both became stronger after learning how to work past them.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with WPI Productions – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
WPI Productions is a television and video production company as well as a media buying company. We specialize in script-to-screen video and commercial productions, usually beginning with our suggested concept. We are known by our clients as always delivering excellent productions and always on time never ever missing a deadline. In the freelance world “WPI” stands for “Will Pay Instantly” and that makes us proud because we remember how it felt to be checking the mailbox every day waiting for that long-overdue check come in.
We are most proud that we have experienced a steady upward motion of success and that all of our hard work and consistent determination to deliver excellent videos and commercials is paying off. We think that it’s our customer service that sets up apart. We treat every video or commercial as if it is our first project for the client and we never ever get complacent and take the easy route to finish a project.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The Dallas metroplex is a very easy place to live and very affordable. The thing we like least about our city is the drivers. No one seems to know what a Yield sign means and if you put on your blinker that only encourages them to speed up and cut you off. Also, texting and driving has gotten really bad in recent times.
