Thanks for sharing your story with us Carrie. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I’ve always had a love of design. I began with my own house and then started helping my friends. Soon I was hired by a local designer who taught me the business. At first, I worked for her just pulling fabrics and colors. But soon after I started taking on my own clients. When she retired in 2006, I started my own design firm. I feel lucky every day that I get to do something I love.
Has it been a smooth road?
Heck no! I’ve had growing pains along the way. Design has many facets and is constantly changing. I feel like I learn something new every day! The most important lesson is relationships. I’m only as good as my vendors and craftsmen; It’s taking me many years to develop relationships with a long list of high-quality people.

I am an interior designer. I help turn a vision into a reality. I want to make a house into a home. I specialize in residential but have done some smaller commercial projects. I try to focus on my clients and what they want. It is important for me that your home is unique to you. I listen to my client’s likes and needs and transform it into a warm and functional living space. I like to really get to know my clients so I can create a space that they will love.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Dallas is a great city for interior design. People have a strong sense of pride in their homes and are open and willing to hire someone to help them put it all together for them.
