Thanks for sharing your story with us Claire. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started Gemelli nine years ago while I was a special education teacher. I attended TCU and studied Fashion Merchandising so I needed an outlet to design when I was a teacher! I made jewelry when I was a child and would sell it for brides to give to their flower girls to wear! I interned fro Gucci in New York City and worked for Neiman Marcus before I became a teacher.
I was inspired to bring focus to the natural beauty of the gemstones and the women wearing them. We added a handbag and hair accessory line in 2019. Our hair accessories are sold nationwide and in Macy’s stores. Our Bags are sold in all Dallas Cowboys retail outlets including their stadium. Over that last nine years, we have been featured in Nordstrom, Target, Free People, Anthropologie, Harvey Nichols Hong Kong, TJMaxx, Neiman Marcus and many other fine retailers across the world. We have sold to around 6000 boutiques!
The line has been featured and sold on Access Hollywood and Extra. I truly love what I do. I get to make women feel great about themselves. Jewelry and accessories always fit even if your jeans don’t! I have a wonderful and supportive husband named Chris and an amazing 19-month-old daughter named Isabella! They inspire me daily to be a hardworking mom and entrepreneur.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not at all but definitely learned that all the hills in the road were worth it. Fashion is constantly changing and to keep up with the trends is always tough. As a designer, you have to design what you love but also what you know will sell.
That is always a tough balance to achieve!

We specialize in fashion accessories for women of all ages. What sets us apart is our unique designs and pricing. All items are made in Dallas!
I am most proud that after nine years my company still remains on top! I enjoy designing still and truly feel so lucky I get to do this for a living!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future including expanding to other types of accessories and more international distribution. I would like Gemelli to become a lifestyle brand!
