Meet Claudia Stanley of Flourish with Hope in Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Stanley.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Claudia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
As a young girl, I had this innate passion to help others thrive and flourish, despite their setbacks. I have experienced my own set of tribulations and have observed loved ones suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction and suicide. I grew frustrated and tired of how experiencing such things can rob someone of their spirit. I wanted people to see their innate ability to overcome adversity. I was motivated to help individuals recognize and apply their strengths and abilities. I wanted others to know that they were more than what their minds convinced them they were. I was hungry to see individuals breakthrough their breakdown. I was determined to understand the why’s, the how’s, the what’s, and so, I completed the required schooling and clinical requirements to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). In addition, I sought treatment and became a walking testament that doing the inner work is worth the investment. I am forever grateful to my therapist, my support system and my faith for aiding me in the journey of recovery towards creating a resilient and empowered sense of self. To me, there is nothing better than breaking free of past wounds, finding the gratitude in the dark moments and reflecting on the growth that took place.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?Entrepreneurship is not a seamless journey, especially when you are doing it alone. I wear many hats. I can be a receptionist, a marketer, a tax accountant and a therapist all at the same time. I’d like to blame my passion for compromising my self-care at times. I had to learn to place boundaries, prioritize my needs, and ask for help. As a result of doing so, I began to feel less all over the place and more in control.

Please tell us about your business.
I help women navigate through life changes and develop a strong sense of self-worth, so they can flourish and thrive despite their challenges. I do this by creating a resilient and empowered identity. This is accomplished through self-care, self-compassion, self-awareness and self-love. Self-care is applied to reduce the effects of stress and how it wreaks havoc on our well-being. Self-compassion is adapted to quiet the unforgiving shame. Self-awareness is incorporated to assist with identifying and understanding the root of the issue, in hopes of breaking free from depression, anxiety and trauma. Self-love is refined because until we can love our core and accept who we are, we will continue to place ourselves in positions that compromise our well-being.

I am known for helping women gain the insight and awareness they need so they can take back control of their life, tame the chaos that presents itself in the mind and body through calming strategies, uncover innate strengths that assist with recovery, acquire the essential tools to enhance wellness, rewire the thought process to create a bounce back mentality, and build the necessary connected relationship that allows for inner work and growth. I also provide referrals to additional providers to assist with overall well-being.

I am most proud of my clients. It is not easy to confide in a stranger and be completely raw, all in hopes of making positive change. It is overwhelmingly rewarding to witness their growth, humility and confidence as they unravel into their best selves.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Flourish with Hope recently expanded its services to better assist clients who require access to remote treatment and are appropriate for virtual sessions. I now offer in person and online sessions to all Texas residents. Future goals include webinars, online courses, books and speaking engagements. The hope is to reach a wider audience that is motivated to flourish into their best self!
