Today we’d like to introduce you to Gary Gregory.
Gary, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Who
More than likely I was just like you. I was overweight, out of shape and not likely to lead a healthy life. Then one day I decided to make a change. After much struggling and dedication to make a change, I started exercising for myself and to be around for my wife and four kids.
What
Through the years I have met some wonderful people and made some amazing friends. I have trained for and raced 5k events to ultra-marathons. I have competed in triathlons from sprints to an Ironman.
My most important goal is to be a good example for my children to lead a healthy lifestyle.
How
After some time I decided it was time to help others. I earned a Personal Trainer Certification from the Cooper Institute, a Run Coach Certification from the Road Runners Club of America, a Resistance Band Coach Certification from Resistance Band Training and Small Group Training Certification and Group Strength Training Certification from SCW Fitness.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Over the years there have been many struggles to keep Three Point Fitness going. But if I am able to reach one person and help him/her reach their goals, then it is all worth the fight.
Please tell us about Three Point Fitness.
Three Point Fitness offers mobile personal fitness training. I specialize in personal training, small group training, run training, strength training and goal setting.
I am proud to know that I have inspired numerous people to get off the couch and start working towards their fitness goals. Several clients have gone on to 5ks all the way to competing in Ironmans.
My approach that sets me apart is that I support and encourage my clients to reach their goals through Christian inspiration. It’s easier to act your way into a feeling that acting your way into a feeling.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I think each track we take (good or bad) allows us to learn and grow better.
