Today we’d like to introduce you to Hugo Ceron-Gallegos.
Hugo, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started just loving to draw but was never really confident in my self as an artist. I thought I had found my calling as a record producer and recording artist, but that just opened my eyes up to an entirely new world of artistry. I was quite good at it, but it never seemed to satisfy my creative side as drawing and doodling did, One day I drew a cover for a local rap group by the name of Southern Kappin’ Soldiers and the rest was history, I soon started to become a digital artist that knew what a recording artist needed visually and items they needed to brand themselves further into their own careers. I was 13 years old ready to embark on this journey to become a self-proclaimed graphic designer.
I had a close friend whose wife had graduated with a bachelor’s in graphic design. So I followed her work and asked if she could teach me here and there the basics. His wife Angela started seeing that I was serious with this craft, sent me over a copy of photoshop cs6. I stayed up every night just learning the tools, techniques and little tutorials I could find on YouTube. Now at that time, YouTube was not like it is now there was a limited amount of free resources to learn. I wanted this, so I had to be willing to be self-taught with little to no direction besides YouTube and Angela Zenteno’s help.
Then myspace became my platform for creating custom themes and layouts. The customizations I could bring to your profile, especially to an artist profile page, increased my popularity as a small-time designer under the name then Funky Town Inc. I would then promote my services at Total Pandemonium events that my close friend Lorenzo “Smoothvega” Zenteno would put together. Now I did this up until I graduated in 2010, which gave me extreme popularity amongst the fort worth music scene as one of the goto designers to work with.
I now found my self in college at TCC South Campus, working towards an associate in design with hopes to transfer to the Art Institute, but life hits you sometimes and can keep you down. It took me four years to earn my associates, and I never did go to the Art Institute. I ended up working a dead-end job with Carmax and at a mom and pop design studio part-time. It was tough to wake up every day and not focus on what I was meant to do with my life. I was living my life just trying to survive with no real purpose or excitement. I had a lot of lows that hit me back to back from my grandfather’s death to complications with my daughter’s birth, losing an excellent job painting cars due to health issues, but what hit me to the lowest I have ever been was having to file for bankruptcy in 2016.
It wasn’t until then did I get tired of being stepped on and overlooked that I decided to enroll back into school at the academy of art university for a BFA in Graphic Design. I also joined on as the lead graphic designer for Premier Live Experience. Fast forward to 2020 now, and I now have one of the top 10 branding and design agencies in fort worth. I have also designed for numerous major recording artists such as Nipsey Hussle, Ginwune, Eric B & Rakim, Blackstreet, Bun B, and more.
Has it been a smooth road?
No my road to success has been anything but smooth, after losing my first job from false accusations of stealing and then losing another job due to lung problems really put a toll on me but when I had to file for bankruptcy after having my first child was devastating and at the time embarrassing.
We’d love to hear more about your business.

We are dedicated and determined to assist our clients in elevating their brands and illuminating their message and helping our clients to create the perfect relationship between the consumer and design. From simple sites to massive design projects, we have them covered.
What really sets us apart is our philosophy, “nothing happens just because”. Everything we do and design always starts with a strategy. Once our plan is reliable, we work hard to design beautiful and highly appealing experiences. We specialize in Branding, Graphic Design, Audio/Visual Design.
Since I started this business in 2018 it has only taken a year and a half to become apart of Fort Worths top 10 branding and design agencies according to Clutch and Upcity with 5-star ratings from both platforms.
The proudest moment for my company was when I got to design for my favorite artist Nipsey Hussle on his Victory Lap tour in Texas. To still be able to brag about that is remarkable and a blessing.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, Dallas and Fort Worth are an excellent spot for branding and design work. Especially for startups, they are coming up all the time around the cities. If someone were just starting in graphic design, I would tell them to set themselves apart from the competition, before venturing out because yes, there are a lot of designers out there but if you can find the niche that they aren’t catering too then, you can dominate the field.
