Meet Jacob Norman of CapturedByJacob in North DFW

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacob Norman.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jacob. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I think I’ve always been a photographer even when I didn’t realize it. I always took pictures with my phone, but I didn’t really get creative with it as I do now. In high school, I wanted to pursue basketball, but God had other plans. My mom suggested photography at that time, and to be honest, I thought it was a little too girly. My aunt, Kim Huschke, had done photography as a side job at one time and hadn’t used her camera in a while. She let me use it, and I fell in love. If I’m not doing a shoot, I’m planning a shoot. I love to think outside the box and I think my work shows that pretty well.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I think all creatives get in a slump once in a while, but I’ve not really had a downside yet. One of the main reasons for this is because I’ve been blessed to be surrounded by other very talented guys like Kiddell and Thaimu. To be able to bounce ideas off one another is so important to us creatives. I am also a member of Team Overcomer, which has allowed me the opportunity to travel and bless others. I am very thankful to have had such a smooth road-especially since I’ve only been doing this for two years.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with CapturedByJacob – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
CapturedByJacob does freelance photography specializing in combining unique people with unique places. I am most proud of the all-around progress I have made-composition, editing, networking, as well as artistic vision. An artistic eye for composition, coupled with original style and edginess is what sets CapturedByJacob apart from others.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plan is to continue to shoot interesting and edgy photographs that take people’s breath away. Ultimately, I would love to travel with an Artist and shoot both photography and videography of their shows.
