Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Scherf.
Jennifer, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I purchased the business in may 2017 as an investment. It has been in existence since 1992 and I believe at its current location since 1996. It has taken a lot more time than I initially was led to believe and it has been a learning experience
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Staffing has been very hard. Customers have favorite therapists. Some I have lost due to normal reasons such as moving or marriage, but I’ve had a couple leave because they were unhappy the prior owner sold the business.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Elite massage – what should we know?
Therapeutic massage, facials, and waxing/microdermabrasion. We try to provide more than the regular massage. Our therapists are all licensed and stay current on training on a variety of different techniques and styles. My goal is to have a core group of excellent therapists you can come back to and work on issues rather than a revolving door of new faces where you never know what you will get.

The prior owner helped a bit. The senior staff had been the most helpful.
