Meet John Rho, Shivam Siddaiya, Rishi Niranjan and Grant Stapleton of CASH Club Corp in Plano

Today we’d like to introduce you to John Rho, Shivam Siddaiya, Rishi Niranjan and Grant Stapleton.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
CASH Club was founded as a high school investment club in 2018 at Shepton High School. Our first year saw over a hundred members and a dozen meetings, culminating in an ultimate investment competition championship. Above all, we had focused on delivering a quality curriculum in addition to an active application of investment principles. The very next summer, we soon expanded. Since then, our emphasis has been on spreading our mission across the nation, spreading financial knowledge and professional opportunities wherever we go.

CASH Club consists of two primary components: in-classroom learning and extracurricular competition. We host school club meetings with our proprietary curriculum to educate fellow students about introductory finance and economics, which can then be used to advance performance in our stock market game. We host two games per school year, Fall and Spring, and each offers a cash prize to the top participants!

The mission of CASH Club Corp. is not only to educate but to build tomorrow’s leaders. To accomplish this, we emphasize mastery of financial knowledge in addition to creating an environment where students are encouraged to develop their economic understanding through real-world scenarios and application. Our goal is to promote skills that will last a lifetime through learning that starts today.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
One struggle we had last year was female engagement. Only 5% of all members were female, which was indicative of the larger problem of under-representation of females in finance. We recently launched the Women On Wall Street (W.O.W.) Initiative to address this concern.
