Jordan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Roughly 2 years ago, my wife and I purchased our dream home in Fort Worth. 2 months after purchasing, we had a house fire that burnt down half of the home and damaged all of our personal belongings. When this happened, it helped me see through the daily grind and see the more important things in life and that having great insurance is a must. This started my process in leaving my previous position and joining my Mom in her agency.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Not at all, it has been an uphill climb with downhill wind.

Learning a new industry while starting from $0 and being commission only.

Godby Insurance Specializes in 2 areas: personal lines and commercial small business. Your home and auto coverage and business commercial policies.

I am proud of the care that we have for each policy that runs across our desk. We spend a lot time making sure each client is covered how I was covered during the fire and that they feel like family when they call us.

I am most proud of my Mom and what she has created to this point. She has built a company on honesty and integrity.

We are set apart because we have the real-life experience with insurance and the personal family approach that seems to be an extinct practice in our daily lives.
