Meet Joshua Havard of Total Golf Performance Centers in Arlington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Havard.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
For 14 years I have been teaching people of all ages and abilities, and have grown into establishing specialized Junior Golf Program.

Having played professionally on different section events and tours, I was able to learn and take on different perspectives of golf. This prepared me and made me a better instructor and professional golfer.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have definitely been ups and downs! I would say that since we found a niche that was not being filled (junior golf leagues all year round) it made the road a little smoother, but there are definitely some pot holes.

Finding organizations to participate and then establishing the kids at nearby golf facilities can be challenging at times.

Total Golf Performance Centers – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Total Golf Performance Centers is a golf academy based at Rolling Hills Country Club, we offer a junior golf academy, leagues and tournaments all year round. Our specialty is providing junior golf to organizations that lack the sport, and then finding a facility in their area that could use a junior golf program and the extra revenue.

As a company, we are proud of how much our juniors love the program! A lot of these kids have never played the game, and seeing them come back for more is a major reward.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Our contribution to the growth in junior golf within DFW.
