Meet Kelyn Nash of K Cherin Studio in Ennis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelyn Nash.

Kelyn, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started my makeup artistry during my days as a network marketer (younique) in Nashville, TN. At first, it was just a way to make a few extra dollars. But I found that many wanted me to apply their makeup more than I sold the products. In 2016, I became certified and branched out on my own. Since then, I have grew, and recently added aesthetics to my line of work and also decided to move where my business would be able to flourish which brought me back to Dallas TX. Though this is only my side hustle my hope and dreams is for it to be one day my full-time gig.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it has not been. With every business, it takes time to build and lots of patience. I will say to others that are looking into the beauty business not everyone is your client and you can say no. I tried doing freebies as a way to build and in the end I lost more than I gained. Another thing I learned along the way contracts are essential. Not everyone have the most integrity. Using a contract will save you in your business along the way.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the K Cherin Studio story. Tell us more about the business.
I specialize in Natural makeup with a whole lot of glow (my favorite product is my highlighter) No one leaves my chair without a glow…..lol.

I service brides to be, Graduates, Birthday girls, Proms and more.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I am still trying to kick of my 1:1 online session but with every new business adventure, it takes time. That is my only bad luck that I have had so far.
