Today we’d like to introduce you to Luan Pham.
Luan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Growing up in Vietnam is something I’m grateful for, being adapted to both a third world country and the United States was definitely hard, it made me realizes there are greater things in you that you probably haven’t even discovered yet, my dad was always around cameras. I migrated to the US when I was eight years old, I’m 22 now. But growing up finding friends was hard when you barely spoke English. In middle school, I was going through my “skater” phase, I saw a kid at a skatepark one day with a camera and I thought to myself ‘wow, that’s cool how that little kid is filming is friend Ls skate, it clicks, I’m just little like that kid.’ And so, I literally started filming random stuff around the house on my dad little point and shoot camera. Then, I started saving up and also ask for a camera, then started filming my friends skate.
I just know for a fact that I had a thing for cameras and so it stuck around with me then and now, I’m just trying to create visuals whatever my mind be thinking sometimes.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Struggles were figuring things out myself the hard and really had no one that could show me some pointers.
What do you do? What do you specialize in?
I’m known for the aesthetics looks and solid editing foundations to my videos. Quality is my main focus.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Finding things around the house to build or make something out of whatever I could find.
