Today we’d like to introduce you to Miguel Pardo.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Miguel. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started out working for a company called Light Tec. I worked for that company for 9 plus years as the Rental Manager and was in charge of the lens, lighting and studio space rentals for photography. In late 2015, the lady who owned Light Tec decided to retire and close down the business. We made an agreement that I could continue the business under my new business name STUDIO Thirteen11. I have been in business since 2016 and am grateful for the opportunity that I have been given to serve the Dallas Photography Community. We rent Nikon & Canon Lenses as well as Professional Lighting Equipment and Studio Space.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been the smoothest of roads for me to start my own business. I think everyone who has ever dreamed of starting a business has an idea of how they think it is going to be, but soon find out that it isn’t as easy as you thought or imagined. For me one the most difficult things to do was and still is social media & marketing, but I am a work in progress!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with STUDIO Thirteen11 – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
STUDIO Thirteen11 is a Studio Space for Still Photographers and Videographers. We also rent lenses & lighting for photographers. We have now integrated Professional Photography into our services. We are mainly known for the advice that we can give to any client renting space, lenses & lighting. It doesn’t matter whether you are a pro or new to photography, we can give you advice or suggestions on your upcoming photography projects. If you choose to rent our space for photography, we can help you set up lighting if needed. I think what really sets us apart from other studios is the willingness to help you to get the best photography possible by suggesting specific lenses or lighting for your specific photography project in studio or on location. We also are friendly and treat you with dignity and respect. We also offer studio memberships (for a monthly fee you get all-inclusive use of space and lighting).
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are working on remodeling the studio space form front to back and is a work in progress.
Pricing:
- Small Studio space available for $85.00 per hour (includes background ,2-light units & 2 modifiers of choice).
- Large 1,300 sf studio space for $275 Flat fee (includes background, 3 light units & 3 modifiers of choice).
- Studio Memberships start at $450 per month (call for additional details).
