Today we’d like to introduce you to Misha Wynn.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Misha. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My first profession is architecture. It may seem strange but I’ve never liked being placed in a box. Anything outside of the box was right up my alley. There has always been a love for critical thinking, designing, dreaming, drawing, creating and anything arts related. As far as wedding photography, I’ve also had a fascination for love and art. I guess that’s why becoming a wedding photographer wasn’t farfetched.
I am also a mother of twin 15-year-old boys. I think this is my biggest accomplishment. My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease a few years ago and I noticed with the progression of her disease, diminished memory and cognitive ability was her ability to still show love. This is definitely why I say God’s greatest gift to man is love. She has inspired me to stay positive, continue to move forward and always give and express love toward others.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it hasn’t. I have twin sons that are 15 and it is definitely a challenge to be a full-time mom and an entrepreneur. I love both so it’s definitely worth it. The wedding business is very saturated and the competition is fierce, which means some of the competition can be a bit nasty. I believe there is enough work for us all and the best way to succeed is to help to promote others.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Lavishly Lux Studio – what should we know?
I am the owner of Lavishly Lux Studio, we are comprised solely of women so we understand a bride’s needs and we are passionate about love stories. We know everyone is different so we approach each shoot in a way that reflects your personality, style, and culture. When you look at your pictures, we want to you to feel the warmth, the joy, and the love of your special day all over again. Last but not least, a portion of our efforts go to sponsoring and supporting events that promote other women entrepreneurs. We love to give back!
In a world of uncertainty, war, fighting and hatred, I believe love is always consistent, true love that is. I’ve found being amongst love inspires me to believe that there is a lot more to life. I enjoy being in the presence of love at weddings.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My mother, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease a few years ago and I noticed with the progression of her disease, diminished memory and cognitive ability was her ability to still show love. This is definitely why I say God’s greatest gift to man is love. She has inspired me to stay positive, continue to move forward and always give and express love toward others.
