Thanks for sharing your story with us Nicole. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started Nicole Thomas INC, which is a consulting firm that helps healthcare professionals to navigate their career paths via professional development, portfolio development, trainings, & workshops, was started out me searching for information on how to build my career as a nurse. Literally, I would go to Google and search “how to become a nurse executive” and I would get these very generic answers that I was like step 1: go to school, step 2. pass NCLEX, step 3. Get a job as a nurse, etc. which provided absolutely NO value to me. So I worked as a nurse in various areas, learned a lot of lessons, eventually became a nurse leader for a fortune 5 healthcare company after pretty much having to navigate that process via trial and error. I now use that blueprint that I developed to help other healthcare professionals.
Nurse Power Network, which is co-founder by Meisha Amia is an online platform and an offline event curator for nurses seeking to gain control of their narrative as a nurse and operate with P.O.W.E.R.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My road has been anything but smooth. I have endured many losses lesson, but also blessings. In hindsight, I appreciate them all because they were needed to prepare me for my next levels.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory was always the Christmas holidays because it was truly family and that is still the most important to me till this day.
