After 12 years of being a licensed stylist and working in various salons in the DFW area, Nicki decided it was time to branch out and open her own business with the help of her husband Anthony. She wanted the salon to feel authentic and eclectic, and to fit the diverse style of East Dallas. They strive to treat each guest as a VIP – from the moment they walk in the door to the moment they leave.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The shift from working strictly behind the chair to also running a business proved to be a challenge at first; finding the balance was tricky. Although we have a loyal client base, we have been trying to expand our social media presence and local reputation amidst many established salons. While we are fairly close to the Uptown area, the salon is located in a transforming area currently experiencing growing pains, with new apartments popping up amongst decades-old homes. Finding the right staff has also been a journey. Since we are such a small salon, there is no room for clashing personalities or lack of commitment.

We are a full-service salon and provide all the essentials, as well as luxury services: cutting, coloring, conditioning treatments, extensions, smoothing treatments, and so on. We specialize in vivid clients and alternative styles. We take pride in providing a professional but intimate boutique experience using top quality, cruelty-free products.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We want to expand our empire and inspire change within the beauty industry. We strive to set ourselves apart from all the other cookie cutter salons in Dallas.
