Meet Nita Valade and Suni Daye of Wildwood Naturists Resort

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nita Valade and Suni Daye.

The founders of Wildwood were a group of friends who met via nude recreation and had a midlife crisis at the same time. The problem was solved by starting a new nudist club just outside Decatur and Wildwood was born and will celebrate 20 years in business in 2018.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not always been a smooth or easy road, but it has always been interesting and we have made lots of friends along the way. There are always struggles with any new venture and the Nude Recreation industry is no exception with special challenges with regulations and maintaining our reputation as a family-oriented club.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Wildwood is a family-oriented nudist club which provides a safe, fun, wholesome, and relaxing facility for singles, couples, and families who want to experience clothing free swimming, camping, hiking, and life in general. We are associated with the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) and The Naturist Society (TNS), the two major national nudists organizations in this country and have been in business for 20 years.

Wildwood is known for the cross country Skinnydipper Sun Run 5K which is held on the last Saturday of April each year and is the only clothing optional event we sponsor to introduce newcomers. The management team and members alike seem to be very proud of the name Wildwood has made in the nudist community as a well-run club with friendly hospitable people. I think this is the same thing that sets us apart from the competition, we value each guest and member for the unique person that they are.

What were you like growing up?
We both grew up in small rural towns and loved the community of small town. We find Wildwood is similar in the small town environment.
