Today we’d like to introduce you to Robin Alex.
Robin, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always had the entrepreneurial bug. At the age of 16, I started my first company where I began selling game servers all over the world. By the time, I was 19 years old, I was concentrating more on the business than my education at Texas A&M. Eventually, the company outgrew what I could handle on my own, so I ended up selling the company. It was an awesome experience which taught me business in the digital space as well as sales and marketing.![]()
Since then, I’ve been in IT — Both in-house and as a third party consultant while owning and being a part of other businesses along the way. The one thing that was constant was that I had a passion to help people grow their business.
That’s when I decided to start to Innovate Fast. It allowed me to build a team using all the skills that I’d learned over the previous 12+ years that primarily focuses on helping businesses grow quickly through marketing, sales and consulting.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Looking back, the journey has been riddled with ups and downs along the way. For me, it always meant pushing harder and finding better ways to perform better in business and in life.
I remember there was a time where I was working 20 hour days on my business, while being in school, and interning for a software company. I didn’t get any sleep, didn’t have any friends and thought I should quit.
I persevered and landed a large client that allowed me to bring on a few people to help manage the operation. It opened up more time for me at that time to concentrate on my education and self-development.
Many times we get in our own ways and put even more pressure to succeed. If we take a step back and look at all the positive things that have we’ve done, it can change the mindset and start elevating you to the next level.
Please tell us about Innovate Fast.
At Innovate Fast, we focus on helping a business grow through sales, marketing and consulting. We have a strong focus on helping businesses in the health and wellness space specifically in the Medical and Aesthetic space.
As a full-service agency, we have the best talent in the industry– all in-house at our office in Mesquite handling: Web Development, Traditional and Digital Designs, Sales Funnels, Video Production, and Business and Sales Consulting.
I am most proud of the team and what we’ve been able to accomplish. We’ve taken companies from mid 6 figures in yearly revenue to multi-7 and 8 figure businesses all while having fun along the way. The goal for us to make sure that we focus on the bottom line goals of a client. As long as we are moving in the best interest of our clients, we know that we will succeed.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to go back and start over, I would have made it a point to focus on the client’s end goal instead of short-term goals. Many times, we are blindsided by short-term wins when in reality the long term wins are what drive businesses to the next level.
