Meet Ron Wygal of Endurance Constructors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ron Wygal.

Ron, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was fortunate enough to know as a child that I was mechanically inclined. I was able to work on cars, build our dad shelves and cabinets for his garage by age 12.

Growing up, our parents were adamant about understanding a strong work ethic, with that we were sent several summers to work cotton fields in West Texas.

While attending school in Garland, I was able take several semesters of AutoCad. Began my career working at Charles Gojer in the Civil Engineering Department doing Design and Drafting. Later on, I was performing all Construction Administration for the department. Charles Gojer was proven to be a strong mentor of mine and continues to be to this day.

After eleven years at Gojer, I went on to be Vice President of Operations for Trifles Construction. Under this role came to a better understanding of Means and Methods. As a company we covered Interior Finish Out, Big Box Retail and Structural Steel.

Over the next several years, I went back into Civil Engineering Design under several firms covering Commercial Land Development and Transportation Projects.

In 2014 M. Lopez and I began the process of building a solid team of vast experience and knowledge of Commercial Construction. Within this team we provide Design Build Services for Medical, Retail, Office and Industrial Projects.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
My career and personal life didn’t come without struggles. Personally speaking, I was blessed with a daughter early in life and later on my son was diagnosed with Autism at age three. This among other things led to a battle with depression. Through this I came to know God in a close personal relationship. After battling depression for seven years I had a moment on Thursday afternoon at the altar of a small church in Garland. While at the alter I began to weep and release all that was hindering me. There is when I began my process and walk with God.

Professionally speaking, challenges consisted of failures, working extreme hours, rejection, learning to balance between personal and professional life.

What I felt at the time were struggles, reflecting back I can see the purpose they ultimately served. Upon this time, I was blessed to become acquainted with various Pastors, Church Leaders and successful business men and women. These mentors motivated me both spiritually and professionally by sharing their testimonies of their successes and failures.

Summing all that up is where the name Endurance Constructors derived from, meaning to press on under any and all circumstances.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Endurance Constructors – what should we know?
As a team we specialize in Commercial Construction for instance with Land Development and Selection we can advise Owners and Real Estate Development Companies prior to purchasing land. This in essence saves our clients’ money by allowing us to perform Geotechnical Reports and Feasibility Studies and in return have a solid understanding of real construction cost.

Within our Medical Development Team, we can perform Infection and Bacterial Control Measures during the design phase. This is the first of its kind to be performed during Design and Construction and this process can be used for not only Medical but as well for but not limited to Assisted Living, Dental, Veterinarian, Sport and Educational Facilities. This program also entails Risk Management Program for up two years after Construction is completed.

Some of our clients as a team are the NFL, City of Dallas, Real Estate Development Companies, FEMA, various counties and municipalities.
