Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Ogbeide.
Ryan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Our company started in 2008 out of our living room. We started with the mission to help people who could not help themselves. Over the past ten years, we grew slowly and steady. Home Health was a pretty popular business to get into back in 2008 here in Dallas. However, over the years due to competition and regulation, the industry has gotten more competitive.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, It has not been a smooth road by any means, but definitely has been worth it. We have been around for over ten years and it still feels like we face new challenges every week. I see it as a good thing though. For one, it keeps the job interesting and it adds to your growth as an agency.
For example, most of our clients our either receiving home care or no skilled care through medicare and medicaid. In this political environment with healthcare cost being forefront topic, it becomes challenging staying up to date with all the new changes/ potential changes that will take place.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are a home health agency that provides in-home care to clients who are elderly or disabled. Some may see us as an alternative to a nursing home or skilled nursing facility.
Many patients who are elderly or disable find themselves not being able to live at home alone. This is usually due to a health change or condition that leaves the individually not 100% independent. Instead of packing up and going to a nursing home or an assistant living (which can be expensive), Our agency will provide in-home services such as skilled nursing and attendant care services so patients can live at home.
We strive to create a personal relationship with our clients. Instead of them entering the healthcare world, we integrate what we do into their world. By creating personal relationships, we enter their world and become family. Our goal is not just for them to remember our brand but to remembers the individuals who assisted them in difficult times.
We offer Skilled Nursing, Caregivers in the Grand Prairie and Dallas area, PT, and OT as well
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was shy! It took me a little to grow my wings. However, at home, I was very playful.
