Meet Savanna Dzebic of My Blue Avenue in North Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Savanna Dzebic.

Savanna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My Blue Avenue was created in the fall of 2014 after my mom passed away. She was always inspiring me, and I was finding artistic ways to honor her memory so I started writing poems and then added in sketches of angel wings. This turned into using prints with angel wings, and then it expanded from there in adding in the gold foil. It was a lot of trial and error but I loved getting the hang of the handmade process. It is therapeutic for me to create these prints and I love it so much! This has become a creative outlet for me that I am so thankful I get to experience. Every print is made with love, and I hope our client feels the same when they receive a print from My Blue Avenue. I just want them to know that there is a big story and a lot of heart behind everything that I make.

I love working at local markets and meeting new people and other local makers as well. It is so inspiring to see others doing what they love and their passion behind it. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the West Elm local maker section, and have their customers add my prints in while decorating their homes.

I’ve learned so much since starting My Blue Avenue and excited to see what the future holds!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There are many challenges when launching your own business. Everyone has different struggles and things they always want to improve. For the most part, it has been pretty smooth and very enjoyable! Trying to differentiate yourself in the market is always a challenge. I am constantly trying to come up with new marketing campaigns and print ideas. I love researching interior design trends and finding ways to keep my artwork current and aesthetically pleasing to my customer.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about My Blue Avenue – what should we know?
At My Blue Avenue we offer modern and custom Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver foil prints. Our custom prints can be created for marriage and baby announcements with dates and names, quotes, special sayings, and many other designs. Our current print sizes are 5×7 and 8×10. All of our prints come with our free mat and backboard and packaged to make it the perfect gift! We also have custom framing options. We offer 11×14 gold & white gallery frames. Our frames come complete with print for a very polished look.

Our prints are perfect to display in the home or office. They are also quite trendy to showcase in your boutique or fashion show, as well as branding for boutiques.

I hope our clients are excited to display their framed art from My Blue Avenue anywhere in their homes. We hope our prints extend the feeling of style, glamour, and the contemporary feel to their home. We are constantly creating new prints and want our clients to know they can always look to us for when they need to add an extra stylish piece to their home. Our prints also make excellent gifts for friends or loved ones.

My friends and family are always so supportive and are constantly inspiring me! I wouldn’t have been able to get My Blue Avenue rolling without the help of my amazing husband, Adi. He is my biggest supporter and has helped me out immensely along the way. He is a website making genius and always has tips for me for creating a great online presence. He is so business-savvy and always eager to listen to my new ideas. I love him so much!

The biggest cheerleader in my life is my beautiful baby girl, Evie! She is almost 10 months old and she brings so much joy to our lives. She brings so much inspiration to my prints and I love having her around the office “helping” me! Every day I wake up with the mindset to be strong and courageous for her. She is our biggest blessing and makes everyday feel like sunshine. We have so much fun together and I am so grateful that I get to be her mom. She is my everything! Love you so much, Evie Capri!
