Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanelle Sendelbach.
Tanelle, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Since I was a kid, I always had a love for art and making things, and always going above and beyond of what was asked. Being creative was what I knew. Fast forward to graduating college with an earned design degree in graphic communications. Find myself lucky that I knew from an early age what I wanted to pursue in a career, and landed a dream job internship at very well know advertising agency. Worked on some of the biggest brands: Hasbro, Pepsi, Frito Lay, Quaker, Dannon, to name a few, for some of the most reputable companies such as Tracylocke and the Marketing Arm. I gained so much experience in working my way up to being a creative director and leading a team at a B2B agency!
I realized nothing could prepare me for landing the biggest role of my life: becoming a Mom. So I decided to walk away from the career and focus on being a stay at home Mom. Few years into trying to decide what my next calling would be, I started making dresses for my Lil one and superhero capes for bday gifts just for fun, not even knowing what was to come. Gaining so many compliments and realized what my true passion was making & creating things to bring joy to people’s lives. So a dear friend invited me to a trade show to experience what the craft market world was like and everything just fell into place-there Tae Made + Designs was born. And was off making a whole line of fun theme children’s attire & accessories.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being a Mompreneur for the first time definitely posed it’s challenging, adjusting to the new normal of balancing being a Mom, getting my brand established and making enough inventory to sell in the process.
Once the new year rolled around, I finally was able to make a full collection in ready for Spring and then experienced the biggest hurdle of all – the global pandemic hitting and shutting down all trade shows. So now having to reinvent myself and the way I do business. This year has been about doing God’s work in the form of “mask-making” for not just Lil ones but for the whole family. With this opportunity has allowed me to help so many and get my name out there and introduce people to what I can do!! While I face new obstacles all the time, realize through it all I’m doing what I love so makes everything that much more sweeter. Like I always say, it’s about ‘enjoying the little things in life” that means so much!
We’d love to hear more about Tae Made + Designs.

I’m proud about many things, for one that took what I learned from the industry and built “my own brand/my identity. and apply those key learnings to running my business, What to be known for not only the custom creations that are tailored to the individual based on their favorite themes. Colors and characters that mean something to them. But most of all bringing joy to so many lives, especially Lil ones and seeing their parents face light upon how excited they are, that a Tae Made item brought a little something extra special to their child.
Set me apart is my authentic customer service, like to go above and beyond with communication and make the client feel confident in me and the quality of the product. For example, I like giving my client multiple touchpoints throughout the process and get them even more excited with sneak pics!! Also, my perfectionism, attention to details and the love/care that goes into making this product. Truly enjoy what I do and it’s reflected in work.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is if I made a difference in people’s lives just by bringing a smile to their faces and so much joy to a Lil one’s life-than I’ve done my job. To me, when I make one kid go from being ordinary to extraordinary by wearing a super Daniel Tiger cape and his Mom tells me he wears it all the time even wants to wear it to school, then I’ve done my job.
When a Mom tells me her Lil girl will wear my bows all the time, and sometimes won’t want to take it off. Or recently, success is when I’ve helped so many people in making them face masks, and the amazing feedback I’ve been getting on how happy and satisfied they are with the quality. Knowing I’ve had a hand in keeping them protected, then I know I’ve found my true calling and sharing the gifts God has given me. And most of all, when my Lil one tells me how proud she is of me and kind I am for making masks, then in my heart, I’ve succeeded.
