Taylor, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Jedai Productions began whenever I wanted to help some friends out by putting together a wedding video. Whenever I finished my first wedding video, that’s where I “got the bug.” Shooting weddings is exciting, thrilling, and most of all, memorable. I have the opportunity to capture moments that couples will get to re-live for the rest of their lives. At the time of my first wedding, I was only at Tarrant County College. Whenever I realized that videography and film was something that I wanted to do for the rest of my life, I figured it would be best if I continued my education to better grow my craft as a filmmaker. So, I transferred to the University of North Texas to graduate with a degree in Media Arts. Because of this shift in schools, I learned how to not only find joy in wedding videography, but in filmmaking and commercials as well. So that is what I do today: I capture stories that are relatable to human beings. We all live our own stories every day, but Jedai Productions want to help capture your story and bring it to life.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No business has a smooth ride, they all face challenges. For me, my biggest challenge was maintaining high-quality videos that could hold their own with my competitors. There are plenty of filmmakers and videographers out there, the biggest problem is that they are all really good at what they do. When it comes to my projects, I want to make my clients happy, maintain that high-quality bar that is set, AND hold my own style that makes the videos unique from my competitors.
The last two years have been a period of growth for me as a filmmaker and business owner. The biggest key to success is making connections and getting to know people, no matter who they are or where they are from. Anyone has a story that needs to be told.

Jedai Productions is more than just a video production company. Though we specialize in video production, we also offer photography, sound design, and music making services. What really sets us apart from other companies is that we cannot only visualize your story, but we have a team of highly professional musicians that can create the music for your story, and sound designers that create the soundscape. I myself have been a musician, I currently do all the production for my music project “The Polarity.” Knowing how to make music really helps the video production process, because the two go hand in hand.
The four biggest components of video production are 1. Video 2. Music 3. Sound Effects 4. Dialogue.
The best part about Jedai Productions is that we can do all of those.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our biggest goal is to work with more musicians and artists, in the hopes that we can build a library that other videographers and filmmakers can license their music. Jedai Productions really supports local music and rising artists. Most music licensing companies take out a large percentage of the artist’s licenses. Jedai Productions wants to make a way where not only are the music licenses affordable for all filmmakers, but the artists keep all of the money.
On top of that, Jedai Productions really wants to break into the world of filmmaking. Our portfolio mainly consists of wedding videography, we would like to take on more clients that delve into the world of narrative filmmaking.
