Meet Tex Moton of Already Design Co. in Arlington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tex Moton.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas Tex Moton has been a leader in the city’s and nation’s art scene for decades. As a teenager in 1991, Tex co-founded an elite graffiti artist group called Infinite Crew (aka I.C.). Since its incorporation, I.C. has pushed artistic street art boundaries with innovative styles and techniques that have been emulated globally. In 2007, Tex expanded his artistic range to include fashion when he became the Creative Director for Already Design Co., an apparel, headwear, and accessories company based in Arlington, Texas. Most recently, Tex designed the 2019-2020 City Edition NBA jersey & NBA home court for our Dallas Mavericks!

While anything can be a blank canvas to Tex, artistic graffiti is his medium of choice. His style incorporates bold colors and clean lines. Whether he’s painting or designing, he aims to trigger an emotional response with his work. Tex uses art to connect with people and evoke joy and excitement.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In small business, there are always some form of adversity to navigate through. Those obstacles become some of our greatest teachers in hindsight. They keep you on your toes and force you to think creatively. Some force solutions to a problem or challenge can push you to your next breakthrough simply because of having to view things from a different vantage point to stay on course. We as a design company have had to pivot countless times to stay current or relevant with the industries we service.

Please tell us about Already Design Co.
Our company is Already Design Co., and we are a full-service product design and manufacturing firm. We have specialized in many areas from headwear and apparel to digital marketing and media assets. I am extremely proud of our team in the fact that we are creatives and business minds working together to innovate products for our customers that also translate into great commercialized items and assets to meet their needs at a great value. I truly believe that is what sets us apart!

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Being creative, I come from a bloodline of artists and creators so my fondest memories are just my growth in the arts. From drawing as a kid to getting into the street art/graffiti culture as a young adult to transitioning to product design more currently. I love innovating and pushing myself to create pieces that are truly appreciated for their uniqueness.
