Meet Tiffany Becerra of Roundtrip Gypsy in Uptown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Becerra.

Tiffany, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Two years ago, I took a life-changing trip to Thailand and Cambodia and fell head over heels in love with traveling the world. I started my blog, Roundtripgypsy.com, as a way to help fellow travelers navigate their way through a city in different countries. I take the guesswork out of having to figure out exactly what to do and see, where to stay, what to eat, how to prepare and more. I prepare guides, give recommendations based on real-life experiences, teach you how to “speak the language” so you can get by with the locals and so much more.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been an amazing journey, and I have no complaints. Of course, there are always going to be days where you want to yank your hair out. I think the biggest frustration for me was finding my way around in the large world of travel blogging and understanding exactly where to start and who my target audience would be. A lot of my blogging experience has been self-taught, but I’ve been fortunate enough to have traveled with other amazing travel bloggers such as @TheBlondeAbroad and also with my amazing friend/photographer, @Timlphotography who have helped guide me along in many different ways.

Please tell us about Roundtrip Gypsy.
I am a travel blogger, and I help my fellow globetrotters by providing valuable content and guides to exploring different cities around the world all through my personal experience so they don’t have to spend countless hours researching online. My blog, @RoundtripGypsy, is different because I provide very in-depth insight into the sights you’re going to see, I give history lessons and provide fun facts about some cities and give you a roadmap on what foods to try and the do’s and don’ts of each city. I’m also what you would call a Flashpacker. You may be wondering what a Flashpacker is, right? We’re basically backpackers who upscale our travels. We still travel with backpacks but we stay in nicer hostels or hotels, carry fancier electronics, tend to be a little older and have a bit more money to spend.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Dallas is a very diverse city, and I think it’s a great place to start. We have such a wide variety of cultures all over the metroplex that it’s a great market to test the waters in.
