Meet Tiffany Schureman of A Girl and Her Passport in Garland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Schureman.

Tiffany, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In 2013, I accepted a job in Qatar and wanted a way of documenting my life abroad. The blog was really intended for friends and family at first but morphed into a travel blog pretty quickly. Being in Qatar really made me love travel and I found myself wanting to travel more and more. Eventually, it was time to leave Qatar and pursue the love of travel full-time. During these two years, I have learned a lot and now freelance in support of traveling as much as possible.

Has it been a smooth road?
No, and it still isn’t. I love traveling and working remotely but I now find myself wanting a full-time remote job with a steady income.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with A Girl and Her Passport – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I focus on digital marketing for bloggers and small businesses. In addition, I help bloggers and small businesses set up WordPress websites. My specialty is SEO and copywriting. I am proud of myself actually that at the age of 42, I am a freelancer for the first time and it has been successful. Since I started as a blogger and I am focused on helping them and small businesses instead of going big. I know all the frustrations they are going through and how frustrating going digital can be with technology and media changing constantly.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I wouldn’t be a Texan if I didn’t say that the Tex-mex is what I love best. There are so many good options and I love trying new ones. I wish Dallas had better public transportation and more walkable neighborhoods. I would live in Downtown Dallas if there was a grocery store and more to walk to down there.
