Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Ehin.
Madison, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m 28 years and live in Dallas. I’m a single mom of two, trying to make this life a little easier and a lot more fun. About two years ago, I started my blog @madisonehin as a creative outlet to help them keep my sanity as a stay at home mom. It started with me posting my pretty average high-waisted mom jeans (that part hasn’t changed) fast forward a year and I’m divorced, raising two kids and running my own business. You might be asking what happened in the interim? Well, outside of losing at love, I had to find a way to provide for my two little girls so I learned that I had the unique skill of helping businesses brand, sell and build their online identity. From social media training, a small business monthly monitoring, and company branding, I help businesses connect with their ideal customer and increase revenue in the digital marketplace. But don’t get it twisted, I can still shut down the target on a Friday night with the best of them. *clap*
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Outside of my ex-husband dating one of my (former) best friends, my life is pretty much sunshine and roses. No, I’ve had to learn how to become a badass business owner and turn my passion into a paycheck. As any business owner knows, there are hiccups along the way, but that’s nothing a Chili’s 2 for $20 can’t fix! Don’t let your circumstances determine your success. What might seem like the world is crashing down on you, in reality, will only make you that much stronger. Adversity is a gift if you choose to see it that way. Also, be your brand. Make people fall in love with you and in return, they will fall in love with your business.
As far as smooth roads go, I feel like I’m about to drive off the edge of a cliff. So, when do I get to this smooth road? Is it at the bottom of the cliff? Haha!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Consult with Madison – what should we know?
What sets me apart from others… outside of my impeccable taste for a high neckline, I’m known for being a digital marketing consultant and social media influencer. Well, I know what I don’t specialize in and that would be relationships. Outside of the realm of love, I specialize in consulting with companies for business and personal branding, website development, google my business, and email marketing. I’m most proud of setting the example for my daughters that they can go for their dreams and do it on their own. What sets me apart, aside from my mom haircut and the fact that I can cook a mean casserole, is my ability to connect with others.
