Today we’d like to introduce you to Willie Johnson.
Willie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Well, I always had a passion for cars and a passion for creating my own path in life. I never wanted to do what everyone else was doing… I wanted more for myself. I always knew I wanted to be successful. I just didn’t know how, and that’s where YouTube came in. YouTube gave me the ability to tell my story while inspiring others to follow their own path as well. Which leads me to where I am today.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was NOT an easy road at all, but that was expected. I was always taught that anything easy isn’t worth it! Following a dream and creating a way for yourself is never a smooth process because you go through so much that the people around don’t see or understand. The stress of pushing for something that’s not guaranteed… you lose some friends because they don’t understand the path you’re on… the amount of time we put in. It’s so many struggles that we go through when it comes to following your dream.
What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of? What sets you apart from others?
My YouTube channel is one of a kind in its own way. I mostly do car videos. Custom cars, racing cars, and car shows. I’m mostly known for putting out good videos and for my custom car. The thing that I am the most part of is the way I affect people’s lives with my channel. From feeding the homeless to the motivation and inspiration I try to give them. Even though the cars is what draws people in, it’s always a deeper message in my videos. It’s about using the platform that I have to motivate others to follow their own path and dreams. I feel like that’s what I’m most proud of and that’s what sets me apart from others.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is always knowing that I would be different. Always having a desire to help people in any way that I can.
