Cosmetology school is like being in high school all over again, but it came so natural to me. I guess you could say it was in my blood. Halfway through cosmetology school I found out I was pregnant with my first son. I was still due to graduate that October with my son being due in November, but my pregnancy took quite a toll on me and I had to stop going to school as frequently. My both hands and legs developed gangrenes due to vasopressors as I was told. I came out of coma after around 7-8 days. They amputated both my legs below the knees, my right hand below the elbow and fingers and half thumb of my left hand. I had a surgery of skin grafting also. Anything that could go wrong went wrong. We were scheduled to open December 2023, yet we opened June 2024. We had a very tight budget and our contractor knew so. His subcontractors disappeared for months, costing us an additional 150,000 that we did not have. We feared many times that we would never get to see our dream come true, we prayed and prayed loud, we held on to our faith and finally got the chance to open our doors.
