She wasn’t breathing right as just a few bloody bubbles came out of her nose from when she had hit the steering wheel hard. “Was the car going to catch on fire? Were the power lines coming down? Should I try to move her? Is her neck broken?” were all thoughts in his mine. He opened the car door and stood there slowly watching her die. One day, I dove in to editing a TikTok video for Tiff’s Treats Cookie Delivery, one of The Shop’s many clients, and it all changed from there! I ended up becoming The Shop’s Social Media Coordinator to later being their Social Content Manager, and I loved every minute. I received 7 advertising awards that made me feel immense gratitude for my work with the help of my coworkers and bosses. I got to work on so many clients including Major League Rugby, Garrison Brothers, Sōmrus Cream Liqueur, and more over my 3.5 years there. I became a registered dietitian specializing in the treatment of eating disorders due to my own personal struggle with disordered eating and body image concerns. I was always interested in the field of nutrition but, more than that, in the psychology of eating and understanding what drives individual food behaviors. I started out working in a clinical hospital setting and then later transitioned to providing general outpatient nutrition counseling. After gaining more education and experience in the field of eating disorders, I went on to work at two different treatment centers providing medical nutrition therapy at all levels of care including inpatient, residential and partial hospitalization. From there, I opened up my own Christ-centered private practice in 2017 and continue to help individuals heal their relationship with food and body using a non-diet, intuitive eating approach.
